Pat’s Fly Tying Videos
Tailwater TU member Patrick Mawhinney ties up some fantastically inventive flies that are both simple and fun to create. What’s more, they are very productive on our local waters.
We’ve only recently had the idea to post videos of Pat’s flies, so here is the first offering with more promised to come. So check back regularly or join our Facebook group to learn when new video tutorials are released.
The Peacock Wally Wing Dry Fly!
A very simple but effective fly for Bass, Bream and Trout especially in the heat of the summer!
The Grub Fly
This remarkably simple pattern imitates a grub that has fallen into the water and is bouncing around through the middle water column and river bottom. As always, Pat ties it up with easy-to-find materials that one can usually buy for much less than through traditional fly material sources.
